Ashbrook High School is an Innovation School in Gaston County Schools with a focus on using clear strategies and strong purpose to boost student success. Students receive extra instructional support, and teachers take on advanced roles to help students achieve at a higher level.

We are proud of our marching band and appreciate what the band brings to our football games on Friday nights. Be sure to take in a game this fall and support the Greenwave.
iAccelerate Academy at Ashbrook High School
The iAccelerate Academy at Ashbrook High School is an outstanding college prep program that allows students to be dually enrolled at Gaston College, explore areas of interest, and complete coursework in a flexible, blended format.
The highlight of the school year
Graduation is a major milestone. It is a rite of passage for our students as they move on from high school and embark on new opportunities in college, the military, and the workforce.
When our graduating seniors walk across the stage, they are prepared for success and prosperity in life. It’s our ultimate commitment to students.
Providing care for students at school
Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually.

Gaston County Schools announces administrative leadership changes for the 2026-2027 school year.
Teachers are encouraged to participate in the Ron L. Ensley grants program. Click here to complete the online application. The grants are presented by the Gaston County Education Foundation as a way to fund innovative classroom lessons and projects. The application deadline is Sunday, September 14.

The Board of Education will meet on Monday, August 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gaston County Schools Central Office, 943 Osceola Street, Gastonia. The public is invited to attend. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can watch it live on YouTube, the Gaston County Schools website, or Spectrum Channel 21.
